On October 19, Zhang Wei, President of Sinochem Group, and Zhang Fang, Director of Innovation and Strategy Department of Sinochem Group, met with the visiting Bolivian Minister Energy Rafael Alarcon Orihuela, Executive Director General of Nuclear Technology of the Bolivian Ministry of Energy Ronald Alberto Veizaga Baqueros and their delegation at the Group Headquarters in Beijing.
In recent years, the SBU of Chemicals of Sinochem has been actively expanding its operation in new energy and new materials and steadily advancing its lithium battery projects. Yu Hongtao, General Manager of High-Performance Business Unit at Sinochem International, gave a detailed introduction to the related projects of Sinochem. Minister Rafael Alarcon Orihuela noted that Bolivia owns more lithium resources in its salt lakes than any other country in the world, which indicates great potential. He also briefed Sinochem on the development progress of lithium resources in the salt lakes of Bolivia and future plans.
